Job summary

SSE Energy Solutions – Smart Buildings is seeking a Smart Buildings Support Engineer to join our BMS Support team. The role is field-based across Oxford, Bicester, Northampton, Swindon, Reading, carrying out maintenance, upgrades and energy-reduction initiatives while expanding your skills.

• Solid technical experience with Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC building controls.
• Excellent communication abilities for working with customers and service providers.
• Strong customer service mindset with professional approach and ability to guide others.
• Willingness to work in an on-call rota and travel to various sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out BMS pre-planned maintenance, small upgrades and additional works.
• Respond to and resolve reactive breakdowns during core hours and on-call periods.
• Identify system improvements to enhance energy performance and efficiency.
• Provide detailed, concise reports based on onsite activities.

The role

As part of our growth plans, we are looking for a Smart Buildings Support Engineer to join our BMS Support team. You will

• Carry out BMS pre planned maintenance, small upgrades and additional works
• Respond to and resolve reactive breakdowns, both within core business hours and as part of the out of hours standby team.
• Identify system improvements such as upgrades, system enhancements and software improvements to ensure energy performance is being managed efficiently.
• Provide detailed and concise reports based upon your onsite activities.

You have

• Good technical experience, Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC Building Controls.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain a collaborative working environment with all stakeholders, including customers and external service providers.
• Sound levels of customer service, with a professional approach and a dedication to meeting customer expectations, including delivering technical support, coaching and direction.
• An agile working approach, with flexibility to support an on-call rota structure.
• A full driving licence, as you will be travelling to different sites.
