Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Support Coordinator for the Sheffield Accommodation team. You will empower individuals to secure sustainable accommodation through practical, person-centred housing and recovery support, building confidence and stability.

You will deliver group sessions, manage risks, and develop support plans while collaborating with colleagues and external agencies to achieve lasting outcomes. This role requires strong communication and safeguarding knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting people with housing, recovery or other complex needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships.
  • An understanding of safeguarding, risk management and person-centred support.
  • Good organisation and record keeping skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends when required.

  • Work closely with colleagues, external agencies and other professionals to provide joined-up support.
  • Attend multi-agency meetings and undertake outreach where required.

Location: The Greens,, 21 Murdock Road, Sheffield, S5 8BU

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm - 37 hours per week.

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £25,877.80 - £34,240.03 per annum

Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.

About the Role

As a Support Coordinator at The Greens, you'll work as part of our Sheffield Accommodation team, supporting people to develop the skills, confidence and stability they need to live independently and move towards sustained accommodation.

You'll provide practical, person-centred housing and recovery support, working with individuals to understand their needs, manage risks and develop achievable support plans. You'll also deliver group sessions covering areas such as housing options, tenancy readiness and recovery-focused programmes.

This is a varied role where you'll build positive relationships with the people we support while working closely with colleagues, referral agencies and other professionals to help individuals achieve lasting and meaningful outcomes.

What You'll Do

To Succeed in This Role, You'll Need

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships.
  • An understanding of safeguarding, risk management and person-centred support.
  • Good organisation and record keeping skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends when required.
