Job summary

Job description

Salary: £88-£105 per day (ad hoc basis)

Are you looking for a flexible SEN teaching assistant role to fit your schedule? Seeking supply teaching assistant work on an ad hoc basis? Do you have experience supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN)?

Join our dedicated team of specialist educational staff based at an established SEN school in West Wickham, South London.

Opening in June 2026, our setting features an integrated team of Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, and Psychotherapists.

Requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above (or Level 1/2 functional skills equivalent)
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 NVQ)
  • Hands-on experience working with non-verbal students, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and complex medical needs
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or currently hold one)
  • Previous experience delivering personal care for children and young people aged 5-19
