Job summary

Randstad UK in Reigate is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with complex needs and autism in everyday classroom activities.

You will work with the whole class rather than one-to-one, with hours 8:30 to 4:15, and there is potential for a permanent position for the right candidate. DBS on Update Service or willing to undergo is required; driving is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEN for 3–6 months or more.
• Awareness of autism and other complex disabilities.
• Valid DBS (Update Service preferred) or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support a whole class with students who have complex needs and autism.
• Assist in daily classroom activities rather than 1:1 support.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist school based in Reigate.

In this role you will be supporting students with a variety of complex needs and autism in their everyday education and helping to facilitate their learning.

You will aid all children in class rather than on a 1:1 basis. This position has the possibility of becoming a permanent role for the right candidate.

The contract for this role is until the end of the academic year.

Working Hours: 8:30-4:15

Requirements:

The school is near public transport options however driving is preferred.

Enhanced Child and Adult Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to undergo one.

Proven history of 3-6 months working with SEN pupils.

An understanding of various complex disabilities and/or autism.
