Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist school based in Reigate. You will support students with complex needs and autism across their everyday learning, aiding class-wide activities rather than 1:1 support. This position has the possibility of becoming a permanent role for the right candidate. The contract for this role is until the end of the academic year.

Working Hours: 8:30-4:15.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEN and autism.
• DBS enhanced with Update Service or willingness to apply.
• 3–6 months experience with SEN pupils.
• Understanding of various complex disabilities and/or autism.

Responsibilities

• Support students in everyday education, aiding learning.
• Assist whole class rather than 1:1 with supervision.
• Contribute to inclusive learning in a specialist school.

Requirements:

The school is near public transport options however driving is preferred.

Enhanced Child and Adult Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to undergo one.

Proven history of 3-6 months working with SEN pupils.

An understanding of various complex disabilities and/or autism.
