Randstad UK is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term contract at a specialist school in Reigate. You will provide individualised support to students on the autism spectrum to help them succeed in daily learning activities.

Working hours are 8:30-4:30. DBS clearance on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one; driving is preferred. 3–6 months SEN experience or transferable care/support experience, plus an understanding of autism and related disabilities, are required.

Qualifications

• DBS clearance (Enhanced Child and Adult Workforce) or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience working with SEN pupils or transferable care/support experience (3–6 months).
• Understanding of autism and complex disabilities.

Responsabilités

• Provide individualized support to students on the autism spectrum to assist their learning.
• Assist with day-to-day activities and classroom routines within the school setting.

SEN Teaching Assistant: Long Term Contract

We are searching for a teaching assistant to join an award-winning specialist school in Reigate, on a long term contracted basis.

In this role, you will provide individualised support to students on the autism spectrum, particularly those with high-functioning autism and other disabilities, helping them succeed in their daily learning environment.

Working Hours: 8:30-4:30

Requirements

The school is near public transport options however driving is preferred.

Enhanced Child and Adult Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to undergo one.

Proven history of 3-6 months working with SEN pupils or transferable skills from similar industries e.g. care or support work.

An understanding of various complex disabilities and/or autism.

Transferrable skills from other related fields: care, support work or similar.
