Supply SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Ealing, West London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Supply / Full-Time – 5 Days per Week
We are currently seeking dedicated, caring and adaptable Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of mainstream and SEN schools in Ealing and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The role offers the opportunity to work across different school environments, gaining valuable experience while making a positive difference to pupils' learning, development and wellbeing.
As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you may support pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups or as part of a wider classroom team. Depending on the school and individual pupil needs, you could be supporting children with autism, ADHD, communication and language difficulties, learning difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), or other additional needs.
You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to ensure pupils receive the appropriate support to access learning and participate positively in school life. You will be expected to adapt your approach to meet individual needs and help create a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
The role will involve working across both mainstream and SEN settings, so flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly are essential. You may be required to support pupils with their academic development, communication, social skills, emotional regulation, behaviour and independence.
As a supply member of staff, you will need to be confident working in different school environments and quickly building positive relationships with pupils and staff. You must be available to work 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, providing schools with consistent and reliable support.
This position would suit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or someone with relevant experience working with children or young people with additional needs who is looking to develop their career within education.
