Job summary

Screwfix Direct Ltd. is seeking a Supply Chain TC Planner to collaborate with Category Supply Manager and DC Planner to deliver stock plans, lifecycle management, and promotional strategies aimed at 100% availability from stock.

The role includes optimising the store replenishment system for maximum availability while balancing replenishment capacity. The position offers hybrid working with up to 2 days WFH, flexible start/end times, a pension and life cover, health plan and staff discounts, and

Qualifications

• Strong stakeholder management and communication across teams.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
• Retail supply chain or logistics experience is advantageous.
• Proficient in analyzing sales, stock and demand data.
• Capable problem solving and delivering corrective actions within procedures.
• Solid Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Own stock planning for store networks and category lifecycle in line with strategy.
• Maximise store availability to support promotions and launches.
• Set appropriate stock levels for new products and review against policy.
• Coordinate initial allocations and exit plans for products.
• Manage display and project quantities to ensure stock depth.
• Review demand data and agree recovery plans with DC planner.
• Collaborate with market and retail ops teams at Head Office and Trade Counters.
• Work with Central Replenishment to improve throughputs from DC to counters.

Overview

The Supply Chain TC Planner will work alongside the Category Supply Manager and Supply Chain DC Planner to deliver category stock plans, implement product life cycle and promotional strategies with the objective of fulfilling our “100% available from stock” promise. The role is also responsible for optimising our store replenishment system in order to maximise availability whilst balancing this with replenishment capacity.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the supply chain in to and out of our Trade Counters, ensuring that we have the right stock in the right place at the right time
• Maximise Front of House availability in stores to support promotional plans and catalogue launches
• Review current sales rates and adjust the store optimums accordingly
• Setting stock levels for new products in line with the Category Supply Manager’s strategy, reviewing against policy and making changes where appropriate once launched
• Ensure initial allocation of new products to our Trade Counters is in line with the agreed plan and execute the exit plan of deleted products
• Manage Display and Project quantities to ensure appropriate stock depth in stores
• Review lost demand data and work closely with the Supply Chain DC planner to agree and implement recovery plansAnalyse TCND to identify trends and make recommendations to change store ranging with the aim of improving customer experiences in stores
• Manage key internal relationships with our market and retail operations teams both in Head Office and in our Trade Counters.
• Work closely with our Central Replenishment team to enhance operational efficiency and smooth the throughput of products from the DC to Trade Counters

Qualifications

• Dealing with key stakeholders – whether customers, suppliers or staff from other departments
• Experience in a role which required working on multiple tasks, to tight deadlines
• Prior supply chain, inventory, logistics or commercial experience within a retail environment would be an advantage.
• Proven skills in data analysis – able to understand and interpret financial, sales and other commercial information
• Experienced in problem solving – able to anticipate and highlight issues, and take decisive corrective action, working within established procedures.
• Range of communication skills – able to communicate effectively with a range of audiences both orally and in writing
• Excel skills (pivot tables/v look ups) and numerically competent
