Job summary

Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Supply Chain Assistant to join the Estates and Facilities team in Cambridge. You will ensure seamless delivery of medical and non-medical supplies, maintain stock control, and support clinical areas with timely consumables.

Key tasks include stocking, rotating, reconciling delivery notes and reducing waste. You will collaborate with clinical staff, suppliers and procurement while upholding safety, infection control, and trust

Qualifications

Working towards an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
Ability to treat all information confidentially.
Ability to work within a team and take instruction.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to communicate information verbally.
Knowledge of stock control procedures and delivery routes.
Previous NHS experience or similar environment experience.
Commitment to driving culture change through equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

Manage stock levels and ensure timely delivery of consumables to wards and departments.
Put away stock, rotate supplies to maintain freshness and reconcile delivery notes.
Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency within Materials Management.
Collaborate with clinical staff, suppliers and procurement to meet department needs.
Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.
Handle workload priorities and communicate effectively with the team.
