Job summary

Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Supply Chain Assistant to join the Estates and Facilities team in Cambridge. You will ensure seamless delivery of medical and non-medical supplies, maintain stock control, and support clinical areas with timely consumables.

Key tasks include stocking, rotating, reconciling delivery notes and reducing waste. You will collaborate with clinical staff, suppliers and procurement while upholding safety, infection control, and trust

• Manage stock levels and ensure timely delivery of consumables to wards and departments.
• Put away stock, rotate supplies to maintain freshness and reconcile delivery notes.

• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Handle workload priorities and communicate effectively with the team.

This role is pivotal in maintaining efficient stock control and providing first-class support to clinical areas across the hospital., As a Supply Chain Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Materials Management service. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, processing orders, and ensuring timely delivery of consumables to wards and departments. Key tasks include putting away stock, rotating supplies to maintain freshness, reconciling delivery notes, and identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work closely with clinical staff, suppliers, and the procurement team to meet department needs, ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards, and resolve supply issues swiftly.
