About the job you're considering

Capgemini Engineering is seeking Supply Chain Quality Engineers with experience in Commercial Aerospace to join our expanding team in Bristol, Belfast, Broughton, or Prestwick.

Hybrid working: Your work location will vary based on your role, needs, and business requirements, combining Company offices, client sites, and your home. Note that full-time remote work is not available.

If selected, you will undergo pre-employment checks including, but not limited to, employment history for the past 3 years, immigration status, and a criminal record check (Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your Role

1. Act as a key operational interface with suppliers, fostering trust and teamwork between the Client and suppliers.
2. Assess supplier capacity, capability, and performance; contribute to their development; ensure a consistent workload and prevent disruptions.
3. Challenge suppliers on contract modifications to maintain ISO perimeter compliance (OTOCOQ).
4. Contribute to documentation clarifying business relationships (Change requests, Specifications, etc.).
5. Ensure quality and timely deliveries to support business operations, managing milestones and product lifecycle reviews.
6. Verify compliance with requirements and secure industrial maturity through inspections and assessments.
7. Lead supplier performance reviews and represent supply chain operations in various forums.
8. Initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects, including transformation plans.
9. Develop short-term recovery plans as needed.
10. Identify industrial risks, propose mitigation, and communicate status and plans.
11. Manage supply chain and quality aspects of contracts, focusing on on-time, on-quality, and on-cost performance.
12. Manage supplier quality approval processes, ensuring certification compliance.

Your Skills and Experience

1. At least three years of experience in manufacturing within Aerospace industries.
2. Three years of experience with MRP/ERP tools, preferably SAP.
3. Ability to work under high pressure and resolve material supply issues.
4. Effective workload prioritization skills.
5. Clear communication abilities across interfaces.
6. Proactive in work initiatives.
7. Experience reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
