Placr's client in Eastbourne is seeking a proactive Supply Chain Planner to own production schedules and coordinate across Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing. You will drive on-time delivery and own orders through the manufacturing process in a precision engineering environment.

The role requires strong Excel and ERP skills, with a preference for Dynamics AX experience, and a proven ability to prioritise and problem-solve under pressure.

• Experience in production planning or scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
• Background in precision engineering/manufacturing helpful.
• Strong Excel, ERP systems knowledge; Dynamics AX is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.

• Degree-educated or qualified through relevant experience.

Placr's client is a successful precision engineering and manufacturing business looking for a Production Scheduler to take ownership of production schedules, coordinate across departments and help drive excellent on-time delivery.

The Role

• Manage forward‑looking production schedules across manufacturing cells and production planning
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to agree delivery dates.
• Someone who can take ownership of the orders through the manufacturing process
• Monitor capacity, demand and potential production delays.
• Work closely with Cell Leaders to maintain on‑time delivery.
• Maximise the use of ERP/order management systems and maintain clear order visibility.
• Identify priorities and critical issues, taking ownership through to resolution.
• Produce production and delivery performance reports and metrics.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in production planning, scheduling or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Ideally, a background within precision engineering, manufacturing or assembly.
• Strong Excel, ERP and systems knowledge; Microsoft Dynamics AX experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
• Confident decision‑maker with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Degree educated or qualified through relevant experience.
