Job summary

Sammons Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Production Scheduler for an established manufacturing business in Eastbourne. The role focuses on managing forward-looking production schedules, coordinating with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, and ensuring on-time delivery through effective use of ERP systems.

• Experience in production planning or scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
• Degree educated or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage forward-looking production schedules across manufacturing cells.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to agree and manage delivery dates.
• Maximise ERP/order management system usage and maintain visibility of orders.
• Monitor production capacity against demand and identify delays or issues.
• Work with Cell Leaders to support on-time delivery and resolve scheduling issues.
• Publish production and delivery performance metrics.
• Identify priorities and take ownership of scheduling through to completion.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and analytical individual to manage forward-looking production schedules, coordinate across key departments, and help deliver strong on-time performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage forward-looking production schedules across manufacturing cells.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to agree and manage delivery dates.
• Maximise the use of the ERP/order management system and maintain clear visibility of orders.
• Monitor production capacity against demand and identify potential delays or critical issues.
• Work closely with Cell Leaders to support on-time delivery and resolve scheduling issues.
• Produce and publish production and delivery performance metrics.
• Identify priorities, make timely decisions, and take ownership of scheduling through to completion.

Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:

• Excellent organisational, communication, and planning skills.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills with good attention to detail.
• Strong Excel and systems knowledge, with confidence working with ERP systems.
• Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and make decisions within agreed guidelines.
• Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Degree educated or qualified by experience.
