Overall job purpose:
Lead the improvement of CyDen's Supply Chain team comprising Customer Service Planning, Purchasing, and Internal Sales/Logistics. Ensure fulfillment of the company's commercial strategy and financial goals. Provide inventory analysis and performance data for the wider business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Motivate, lead, and develop team members within the Supply Chain team.
- Manage relationships with customers and suppliers on all Supply Chain topics.
- Lead monthly S&OP meetings with commercial, procurement, and finance teams.
- Develop Capacity Planning models and scenarios based on 12-month forecast plans.
- Create weekly/monthly production plans and lead internal discussions to ensure 100% fulfillment.
- Manage the planning and purchasing team to ensure component availability for weekly production.
- Ensure MRP system is correctly configured regarding MOQ's, lead times, and buffer stock.
- Manage long-term purchase commitments aligned with forecasts and adjust as needed.
- Liaise with internal teams for smooth business operations.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Manage inventory and stock levels to prevent obsolescence and meet financial targets.
- Oversee inbound transport costs and import procedures in line with HMRC rules.
- Improve Purchasing and Planning processes in accordance with QMS procedures.
- Monitor and review supplier performance to meet expectations.
- Manage departmental KPIs and objectives.
Experience:
Essential
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Leadership and team development skills.
- Experience with ERP systems in a Supply Chain/Manufacturing environment.
- Strong planning and project management skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
- Strategic thinking, systems analysis, and evaluation skills.
- Relationship management and active listening skills.
- Complex problem-solving abilities.
- Interpersonal skills and IT proficiency, including MS Office.
- Understanding of risk management in supply chain.
Desirable
- Experience in FCMG, Healthcare, or Medical Devices sectors.
- Knowledge of Lean Principles and Six Sigma.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
Qualifications and training:
Essential
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or relevant senior experience.
- Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
