Job summary

Ad Warrior Ltd. seeks a Supply Chain Manager in Doncaster to lead end-to-end procurement within a food manufacturing environment.

You will source materials, negotiate supplier contracts, ensure food safety compliance and deliver cost efficiencies while maintaining quality and supply continuity. You will work with production, planning and logistics to optimise inventory, manage supplier performance and coordinate risk management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, ingredients and packaging.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and SLAs to achieve best value.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor performance.
• Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
• Ensure suppliers meet food safety and quality standards (HACCP/BRC/ISO).
• Coordinate with production, planning and logistics to ensure material availability.
• Manage inventory to minimise waste and prevent stockouts.

Supply Chain Manager

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum

Vacancy Type: Full time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30 (One hour lunch unpaid)

TheSupply Chain Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement function within a food manufacturing environment. This includes sourcing raw materials and packaging, negotiating supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and delivering cost efficiencies while maintaining product quality and supply continuity.

Duties

Procurement & Sourcing

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements to achieve best value

Supplier Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs (quality, cost, delivery)
• Conduct regular supplier reviews and audits

Cost Management

• Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety
• Monitor commodity markets and manage price fluctuations
• Prepare and manage procurement budgets and forecasts

Food Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all suppliers meet relevant food safety and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC, ISO)
• Maintain full traceability of materials in line with regulatory requirements
• Support internal and external audits

Supply Chain Coordination

• Work closely with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure material availability
• Manage inventory levels, minimising waste and avoiding stockouts
• Oversee supplier lead times and delivery schedules

Risk Management

• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., supplier dependency, disruptions)
• Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Professional procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) desirable
