Job summary

Ad Warrior Ltd. is seeking an Operational Procurement Manager in Doncaster. You will oversee end-to-end procurement in a food manufacturing setting, sourcing materials, negotiating supplier contracts, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and SLAs to achieve best value.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs (quality, cost, delivery).
• Conduct regular supplier reviews and audits.
• Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
• Monitor commodity markets and manage price fluctuations.
• Prepare and manage procurement budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure all suppliers meet relevant food safety and quality standards (HACCP, BRC, ISO).
• Maintain full traceability of materials per regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Work with production, planning, and logistics to ensure material availability.
• Manage inventory levels, minimise waste and avoid stockouts.
• Oversee supplier lead times and delivery schedules.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks; develop contingency plans.

Operational Procurement Manager

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum

Vacancy Type: Full time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30 (One hour lunch unpaid)

TheOperational Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement function within a food manufacturing environment. This includes sourcing raw materials and packaging, negotiating supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and delivering cost efficiencies while maintaining product quality and supply continuity.

Duties:

Procurement & Sourcing

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
