The Role

As a Supply Chain Manager, you’ll have a unique role. You will be responsible for executing cost-effective and timely procurement sourcing projects. Developing new supplier relationships to meet QinetiQ’s future aspirations is essential. This role requires knowledge of specific defence, engineering, and/or cyber domains and their supply chains.

Day-to-day, you’ll drive sourcing processes, identify risks and opportunities, and collaborate with key stakeholders to execute procurement strategies across various projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders to influence behaviours and ensure procurement involvement in sourcing activities.
2. Maintaining awareness of restrictions, controls, and accreditations for suppliers in a defence environment, ensuring compliance with sourcing strategies and supplier base.
3. Collaborating with the Category Management Team to leverage existing supplier relationships and frameworks.
4. Ensuring compliance with procurement processes, governance, and controls.
5. Aligning plans with stakeholders to improve supplier performance and implement continuous improvement plans.
6. Working with peers to develop systems, processes, and share best practices for sourcing excellence.

This role is based in Bristol, working 37 hours per week, with hybrid working options available.

Essential experience:

• Proven contract negotiation and stakeholder influencing skills.
• Experience in the full sourcing process, from design to execution.

Essential qualifications:

• A degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• CIPS qualification or equivalent experience.
