Job Description Summary

During a time of exciting and continued growth, we are looking for an HR Manager to join our dynamic team, onsite at our manufacturing site in Brockworth, near Gloucester.

Dowty (a GE Aerospace business) is a manufacturing site producing composite carbon fibre propeller systems for Civil and Defence clients worldwide.

This role acts as a key HR support for our core teams in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, LEAN, and Production, providing coaching, HR process expertise, and organizational support for leaders, managers, and employees.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employees & managers (approx. 240-250 stakeholders), offering coaching and support on HR processes and employee needs.
• Act as the HR Manager of record for your client group, understanding key business drivers and integrating HR strategies accordingly.
• Develop expertise in HR disciplines, applying experience and knowledge to execute policies and strategies.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and the business, providing guidance and explaining complex information straightforwardly.
• Provide informal guidance to new team members and impact projects, processes, and procedures within your field.
• Operate with some autonomy, using professional judgment to solve problems and make decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Human Resources and Employee Management, equivalent to a Bachelor's degree or industry experience.

Desired Characteristics

• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills, with operational HR partnership experience in manufacturing or engineering preferred.
