Job summary

Boeing Defence UK in Bristol is seeking a Supply Chain Intern (Fixed Wing) to support day-to-day parts management, demand forecasting inputs, and KPI-aligned supplier activities.

You will work with internal and external customers, analyse data, prepare contracting documentation, and contribute to cost-reduction initiatives while developing reporting and sourcing strategies under guidance. Local relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day support and management of assigned parts, liaison with customers of demand priority/criticality in the UK.
• Use reporting to address actions: New Buys, Excess Requests and Allocations; analyse Target Stock Levels, Consumption Data and Condemnation Rates.
• Support KPI-driven supplier activities and develop best practices for contractual execution.
• Assist in risk, issue and opportunity management; identify and drive process improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Review inputs into the demand forecasting tool.
• Assist UK sourcing strategy and negotiating pricing/terms.
• Support stakeholder management and preparation of contracting documents (RFQ, RFIs, Purchase Orders).
• Monitor supplier and functional performance targets and contribute to continuous improvements.

Boeing Defence UK is seeking an enthusiastic and high-performing Supply Chain Intern (Fixed Wing) to work within the Supply Chain function in Bristol. BDUK is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,200 people in the UK. BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including E-7, P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Rotary Wing Enterprise, Logistic Information Services and Training Services

Position responsibilities

• Day-to-day support and management of assigned parts, liaison with internal and external customers of demand priority/criticality of a Programme in the UK.
• Utilise reporting to address any actions. This includes, but is not limited to: New Buys, Excess Requests and Allocations. Analysing Target Stock Levels, Consumption Data and Condemnation Rates for individual parts.
• Work in alignment with contractual KPIs supporting key supplier activities, developing best practice to support effective contractual execution.
• Supporting Risk, Issue and Opportunity, identification and project management for process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
• Review all inputs into the demand forecasting tool.
• Supporting UK sourcing strategy
• Negotiating pricing and terms
• Stakeholder management
• Preparing and issuing contracting documentation including raising RFQ, RFI’s and Purchase Orders.
• Managing supplier and functional performance targets.

Basic Qualifications

• Studying towards a Business, Finance or similar degree
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• IT proficient (particularly Excel, PowerPoint).
• Studying towards a supply chain management related degree

Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Relocation

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Work Authorization

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in the United Kingdom.
