Job summary

Boeing Defence UK is looking for a highly motivated Supply Chain Intern (Fixed Wing) to join the UK team in Bristol. You will support demand planning, supplier management and contracting activities while developing analytical skills.

Ideal candidates are studying Business/Finance or Supply Chain, with strong communication and data analysis abilities, and a drive to contribute to cost reduction and process improvements within a defence context.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day support and management of assigned parts, liaising with internal and external customers of demand priority/criticality of a Programme in the UK.
• Utilise reporting to address actions, including New Buys, Excess Requests and Allocations; analyse Target Stock Levels, Consumption Data and Condemnation Rates for parts.
• Work with KPI alignment to support supplier activities, developing best practices for contractual execution.
• Support Risk, Issue and Opportunity identification and project management for process improvements and cost reduction.
• Review inputs into the demand forecasting tool.
• Support UK sourcing strategy and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Manage contracting documentation including RFQ, RFIs and Purchase Orders; oversee supplier performance targets.
• Engage in stakeholder management and continuous improvement efforts.

Boeing Defence UK is seeking an enthusiastic and high-performing Supply Chain Intern (Fixed Wing) to work within the Supply Chain function in Bristol. BDUK is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,200 people in the UK. BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including E-7, P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Rotary Wing Enterprise, Logistic Information Services and Training Services

Position responsibilities

• Day-to-day support and management of assigned parts, liaison with internal and external customers of demand priority/criticality of a Programme in the UK.
• Utilise reporting to address any actions. This includes, but is not limited to: New Buys, Excess Requests and Allocations. Analysing Target Stock Levels, Consumption Data and Condemnation Rates for individual parts.
• Work in alignment with contractual KPIs supporting key supplier activities, developing best practice to support effective contractual execution.
• Supporting Risk, Issue and Opportunity, identification and project management for process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

Relocation

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
