Job summary

Jobtailor in the United Kingdom is offering an Early Careers placement in Supply Chain Management, where you will gain hands-on experience in procurement, sourcing, logistics, supplier delivery and data analysis while working on real projects across the function.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive process improvements, support cost-out initiatives and develop dashboards, with training and mentoring from the People Leader.

Job description

• Gain hands-on experience in procurement, sourcing, logistics, supplier delivery, and supply chain management
• Work on supplier engagement, order management, tender reviews, cost reduction, inventory management, or logistics support
• Collaborate on cross-functional process improvements
• Drive cost-out projects and support Product Cost and Defect PSR initiatives
• Perform data analysis and dashboard creation
• Solve problems and optimize processes
• Assist Operations Leaders with reporting
• Identify improvement opportunities and ensure compliance with lean tools such as Hoshin Kanri
• Support project planning, lean manufacturing implementation, SQDC monitoring, and daily management activities
• Deliver structured goals and objectives through inspiring projects with support from the People Leader and team

Requirements

• Currently studying a Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Project Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Digital Technology, Business Analytics, Materials Planning, or Operations Management Bachelor's or integrated Master's degree
• Keen interest in Supply Chain Management
• Good understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• On course to achieve a 2:1 degree or above
• In penultimate year of study and returning to education post placement
• Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained
• Permanent right to work in the UK required; sponsorship is not available for Early Careers opportunities
• Able to roll up sleeves and get involved in projects
• Organised and able to work towards deadlines
