Job summary

Morson Talent is recruiting a Supply Chain Coordinator for a world-leading aerospace manufacturer in Belfast.

Role focuses on driving supplier performance across end-to-end supply chain in a fast-moving, digital environment. 6–12 month contract with 36 hours per week; overtime is paid at premium rates.

Qualifications

  • Broad experience in supply chain processes.
  • MRP and SAP experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with digital tools to support supply chain decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of the supplier portfolio using existing tools and digitalization.
  • Identify risks and drive mitigation actions.
  • Manage demand and forecast control.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prioritise supply chain activities and challenge supplier performance.
  • Define optimal ordering characteristics and strategies.
  • Specify and implement process automation.
  • Use data to drive supply chain decisions.
  • Maintain MRP Master Data and Order Book Management.
  • Interact with suppliers and support Supply Chain Quality/Commercial teams.
  • Be the first point of contact for supply chain queries from operations.
  • Own and optimize procured goods stock.
  • Support Supply chain and Logistics Transformation projects.

Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client, a world leading global aerospace manufacturing organisation, at their site in Belfast as a Supply Chain Coordinator

The successful candidate will drive supplier performance across the end-to-end supply chain in a fastmoving, digital environment. This role manages a portfolio of suppliers as part of a global supply chain

Entitled to paid overtime over 35 hours at a premium rate - 25% Mon-Fri and 50% Sat-Sun

£27.10 for any O/time Mon-Friday or £32.52 for any O/time Sat-Sun (PAYE)

£36.25 for any O/Time Mon-Fri or £43.50 for any O/Time Sat-Sun (Umbrella)

Duration: 6-12 months initially

Hours: Working 36 hours per week, Mon - Thurs 8.15am - 4.45pm & Fri 8am-12pm (start / stops times may vary slightly)

Responsibilities:
  • Daily management of the supplier portfolio using existing business tools and future digitalization means.
  • Anticipation of risks and drive mitigation actions.
  • Demand and forecast control.
  • Communicate effectively to internal customers, team colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Supply chain prioritisation.
  • Challenge Supplier performance where appropriate.
  • Understand and define the optimal ordering characteristics and strategy.
  • Specify and use of process automation.
  • Use data management tools to drive decisions in the supply chain.
  • Order Book Management and maintaining MRP Master Data.
  • Interact transnationally with suppliers (remotely and/or at suppliers) and proactively operate in a procurement community as partner to the Supply Chain Quality Manager and Commercial Buyer
  • Be the 1st point of contact for supply chain queries from operations.
  • Own and Optimise Procured Goods Stock.
  • Create the future: Support Supply chain and Logistics Transformation projects
Skill Set
  • Solid experience ideally in one of the following areas:Need a broad experience in supply chain
    • Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering.
  • Must demonstrate a basic working knowledge of related Supply Chain processes
  • Flexible on industry/ background but they need a good understanding of supply
  • Experience in the use and deployment of Digital solutions/tools.
  • Experience of transnational working.
  • MRP expertise and experience of SAP in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in problem solving.
  • Good team work ethic.
  • Project management and LEAN experience.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
