Supply Chain Director

The Company

GMA is partnering with a market-leading business specializing in the design, manufacture, and service of complex, industrial engineered capital equipment. With an international footprint and a thriving customer base, they are seeking a Supply Chain Director to implement and enhance their procurement strategy to strengthen their global supply chain.

The Role

As the Supply Chain Director, you will lead a skilled team to improve supply chain and procurement functions across multiple global sites, with plans to expand the team as the business grows. Based at their UK head office in West Yorkshire, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the procurement function worldwide.
• Developing and executing procurement strategies and projects with senior stakeholders.
• Creating short and long-term procurement plans, including process improvements and supplier agreements.
• Managing supply chain risks and continuity planning.
• Analyzing spend data for cost savings and process improvements.
• Sourcing and procuring parts, materials, and services, and building strong supplier relationships.
• Collaborating with Finance, Production, Sales, and Design to align procurement with business needs.
• Managing tenders and negotiating supplier agreements for optimal terms.
• Implementing inventory management systems and using data insights for proactive procurement.
• Developing procurement policies and measuring performance KPIs.
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders through reports and updates.
• Ensuring warehouse operations support service and project delivery efficiently.
