Company Overview

In the UK, Safran Seats specialises in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales, and Brackley, England.

Role Overview

The Supply Chain Director, part of the GB Industrial team and reporting to the VP Industrial BU, is responsible for the end-to-end supply chain performance of SGB, including financial and operational aspects. The role involves owning the IBP process to ensure alignment between demand, sales, financial plans, and product review.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with Safran Seats BU and global strategies.
  2. Develop robust procurement processes ensuring delivery and quality standards.
  3. Own the SSTs BU Integrated Business Planning process, ensuring consistency across demand forecasts, innovation, capacity, and financial plans.
  4. Lead supply chain transformation initiatives in accordance with MRP2 standards, implementing best practices in supply chain and inventory management.
  5. Provide leadership to deploy business vision, objectives, and KPIs across the supply chain organization.
  6. Ensure achievement of performance goals through a sustainable, process-driven approach.
  7. Drive continuous improvement supporting lean enterprise principles and the ONE Safran Standards.
  8. Coordinate activities with peers and other departments, providing necessary support.
  9. Develop and implement plans to improve the work environment, hiring, employee development, and retention.
  10. Promote Safran Leadership values to develop the supply chain business.
  11. Ensure continuous improvement and alignment of supply chain processes across the network.
  12. Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Requirements

Candidate skills include proven experience with MRP2 principles, supply chain process deployment, CPIM accreditation, senior leadership experience, strategy development, P&L responsibility, and technical knowledge of aircraft interiors. A strong interest in performance improvement and managing diverse projects is essential.

Additional Details
