Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting a Supply Chain Coordinator for a world-leading aerospace manufacturer in Belfast. You will drive supplier performance across end-to-end supply chain in a fast-moving, digital environment, managing a portfolio of suppliers and coordinating with operations.

The role requires experience in supply chain processes, MRP and SAP, and the ability to work cross-functionally. Some travel may be required; standard hours are 36 per week with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering or Design Engineering.
• Broad experience across supply chain processes with digital tools.
• Experience in transnational working and using SAP in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Daily management of the supplier portfolio using business tools and future digitalization.
• Anticipate risks and drive mitigation actions.
• Demand and forecast control and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead supplier performance improvements and recoveries.
• Define optimal ordering characteristics and contribute to procurement strategy.

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client, a world leading global aerospace manufacturing organisation, at their site in Belfast as a Supply Chain Coordinator The successful candidate will drive supplier performance across the end-to-end supply chain in a fast-moving, digital environment. This role manages a portfolio of suppliers as part of a global supply chain

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work suitable candidates will be baseline level (BPSS) clearable or eligible for this level of clearance

Rate(s): standard pays £29.00 per hour umbrella or £21.68 per hour PAYE Entitled to paid overtime over 35 hours at a premium rate – 25% Mon-Fri and 50% Sat-Sun £27.10 for any O/time Mon-Friday or £32.52 for any O/time Sat-Sun (PAYE) £36.25 for any O/Time Mon-Fri or £43.50 for any O/Time Sat-Sun (Umbrella) Duration: 6-12 months initially Hours: Working 36 hours per week, Mon – Thurs 8.15am - 4.45pm & Fri 8am-12pm (start / stops times may vary slightly)

Responsibilities

• Daily management of the supplier portfolio using existing business tools and future digitalization means.
• Anticipation of risks and drive mitigation actions.
• Demand and forecast control.
• Communicate effectively to internal customers, team colleagues and external suppliers.
• Supply chain prioritisation.
• Challenge Supplier performance where appropriate.
• Lead & Drive Supplier recoveries.
• Understand and define the optimal ordering characteristics and strategy.
• Specify and use of process automation.
• Use data management tools to drive decisions in the supply chain.
• Order Book Management and maintaining MRP Master Data.
• Coordinate Supplier Working Parties.
• Interact transnationally with suppliers (remotely and/or at suppliers) and proactively operate in a procurement community as partner to the Supply Chain Quality Manager and Commercial Buyer.
• Be the 1st point of contact for supply chain queries from operations.
• Own and Optimise Procured Goods Stock.
• Create the future: Support Supply chain and Logistics Transformation projects.

Skill Set

• Solid experience ideally in one of the following areas: Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering.
• Need a broad experience in supply chain.
• Must demonstrate a basic working knowledge of related Supply Chain processes.
• Flexible on industry/ background but they need a good understanding of supply Experience in the use and deployment of Digital solutions/tools.
• Experience of transnational working.
• MRP expertise and experience of SAP in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in problem solving.
• Good team work ethic.
• Project management and LEAN experience.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
• Willingness to travel and flexibility.
• Able to hit the ground running.
• Google Suite experience desirable.
