Job description

Global Highland is working with a leading organisation within the civil engineering, energy and infrastructure sector to recruit a Supply Chain Assurance Coordinator to join its team.

This position was previously known as Quality Coordinator and has evolved to reflect a broader focus on supply chain assurance, compliance, supplier management and risk.

We are keen to hear from individuals with a range of backgrounds, including supply chain, quality, compliance, assurance, auditing, procurement or business systems.

About The Role

You will play an important role in supporting the organisation's supply chain assurance processes, helping to ensure suppliers and subcontractors meet the required standards, accreditations and compliance requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with information, systems and people, has a keen eye for detail and is confident taking ownership of responsibilities.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience in supply chain, quality, compliance, assurance, procurement or a similar environment.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Confidence reviewing information and identifying gaps, risks or areas requiring further attention.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good IT and systems skills.
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of an area of responsibility.
  • A practical, positive approach to working with internal teams and external suppliers and subcontractors.
  • A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel when required.
Desirable Experience

Experience or knowledge in any of the following would be advantageous, although training and development will be provided:

  • Supplier and subcontractor assurance.
  • Auditing and compliance reviews.
  • PQQs and pre-qualification questionnaires.
  • Managing accreditations including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Constructionline and Achilles.
  • Supply chain onboarding and due diligence.
  • Risk-based approaches to supply chain management.
  • Managing approved supplier lists.
  • Monitoring insurance policies, accreditations and certification.
  • Experience within construction, civil engineering, utilities, energy or infrastructure.
The ideal candidate

Above all, we're looking for someone with the right transferable skills, a strong attention to detail and a positive approach to assurance and risk.

You'll be organised, confident working with different people and systems, and comfortable taking responsibility for your own workload.

You don't need to tick every box. What's most important is your ability and willingness to learn, your attention to detail and your enthusiasm for developing within a supply chain assurance environment.
