Job summary

BAE Systems seeks a Supplier Assurance Advisor to join the team in Warton. The role supports supplier security risk assessments, evidence reviews, and site visits across UK suppliers with travel. Hybrid working is offered, with three days onsite weekly.

You will collaborate with procurement, engineering and legal teams to ensure risk is managed and security controls are robust, contributing to secure delivery across critical programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience in assurance, compliance, investigation or related roles with structured review work.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and accuracy.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across internal and external teams.
• Ability to interpret information, identify risks and document findings clearly.
• Holding or pursuing ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier security assurance activities and risk-based assessments.
• Review evidence and assess compliance with contractual and security requirements.
• Perform supplier site visits and inspections to validate controls.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Legal and Programme teams to address risks.
• Produce assurance reports, risk summaries and recommendations.
