Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is hiring a Supervisor Hygiene Operative in Northampton Grange Park to lead a hygiene team and ensure high cleaning standards across the site. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00, with an hourly rate of £14.36.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the hygiene team to maintain top cleanliness across the site.

• Train and coach staff on procedures, safe practices, and cleaning chemicals use.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and site hygiene rules.
• Manage equipment, consumables and stock, working with stakeholders.

GXO People Campus is currently recruiting for aSupervisor Hygiene Operative to join our team in Northampton Grange Park. This is a hands‑on supervisory role where you'll lead a team of hygiene operatives, ensuring cleaning standards, safety requirements and operational objectives are achieved across the site

This is afull‑time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Lead and support the hygiene team, ensuring excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained across the site
• Organise daily workloads and hygiene schedules to ensure all areas are cleaned to the required standards and frequencies
• Complete routine hygiene inspections, monitor cleaning standards, and take corrective action where required
• Train, coach and develop team members on hygiene procedures, safe working practices and the correct use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, COSHH regulations and site hygiene requirements
• Manage cleaning equipment, consumables and stock levels while building strong working relationships with site stakeholders and operational teams

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience within a cleaning, hygiene, facilities or similar operational environment
• Supervisory or team leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop others
• Good understanding of professional cleaning standards and quality control processes
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements; COSHH awareness would be advantageous
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills
• Good IT skills and a hands‑on approach with excellent attention to detail
