Job summary

JD Sports Fashion in Swindon is seeking a proactive Supervisor to help run the shop floor, deliver high service standards, and support daily tasks alongside Store Management.

You'll lead by example, guide colleagues across shifts, maintain presentation and product placement, and contribute to store performance while upholding our values. This role offers opportunities to develop skills and be part of a fast-paced, collaborative team that drives customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team leader experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to guide colleagues on the shop floor.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to uphold high service and presentation standards.
• Passion for retail with strong product and trend awareness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service by supporting customers and resolving queries.
• Support sales performance by monitoring service levels and assisting with product placement.
• Maintain shop floor standards and alignment with brand expectations through visual and operational upkeep.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures, cashing up, and till operations.

Role Overview

As a Supervisor, you play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the shop floor and delivering the high service standards our customers expect. You lead by example, guide colleagues during each shift, and help maintain strong levels of customer service, presentation, and store performance. You'll also support daily operational tasks as directed by Store Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service by supporting customers, resolving queries, and ensuring team presentation meets expected standards.
• Support sales performance by monitoring service levels, using in-store devices to offer the full product range, and assisting with effective product placement.
• Maintain strong visual and operational standards by keeping the shop floor clean, organised, and aligned with brand expectations.
• Assist with daily operational duties including opening and closing procedures, cashing up, and supporting accurate till operations.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous supervisory or team leader experience in a fast-paced retail or customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to guide and support colleagues on the shop floor.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to uphold high standards in service, presentation, and store operations.
