Job summary

JD Sports in Exeter seeks a Supervisor to lead the shop floor, guiding colleagues across shifts and delivering the high service standards customers expect. You will help maintain presentation, store performance, and assist with daily operational tasks under Store Management guidance.

You will liaise with team members to ensure smooth till operations, strong product placement, and adherence to brand expectations. A hands-on, energetic leader who thrives in a busy retail environment will excel.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team-leader experience in fast-paced retail or customer-facing environments.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to guide and support colleagues on the shop floor.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to uphold high standards in service, presentation, and store operations.
• Passion for retail, strong product and trend awareness, and the ability to promote JD Group values.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shop floor across shifts and support daily operational tasks as directed by Store Management.

Role Overview

As a Supervisor, you play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the shop floor and delivering the high service standards our customers expect. You lead by example, guide colleagues during each shift, and help maintain strong levels of customer service, presentation, and store performance. You’ll also support daily operational tasks as directed by Store Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent service by supporting customers, resolving queries, and ensuring team presentation meets brand expectations.
• Support sales performance by monitoring service levels, using in-store devices to offer the full product range, and assisting with effective product placement.
• Maintain strong visual and operational standards by keeping the shop floor clean, organised, and aligned with brand expectations.
• Assist with daily operational duties including opening and closing procedures, cashing up, and supporting accurate till operations.
