Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking enthusiastic Cleaning Supervisors to join our team in Motherwell. You will help ensure schools and facilities are clean, hygienic, and welcoming, while supporting the cleaning team and maintaining high standards.

We are looking for candidates with supervisory experience and a background in commercial cleaning, comfortable using cleaning equipment and understanding health and safety responsibilities.

Responsibilities

We are searching for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Cleaning Supervisors. In this role, you will help ensure our school environment is clean, hygienic, and welcoming, while also supporting and guiding the cleaning team to maintain consistently high standards.

With your previous supervisory experience and background in commercial cleaning, you'll be confident using a wide range of cleaning equipment and products, and you'll understand the health and safety responsibilities that come with this essential work.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Self motivated with a positive, flexible approach
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Skilled in communication and organisation
• Comfortable taking initiative and solving problems independently

Successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme before starting. This will be arranged by North Lanarkshire Council.

Work pattern:

Buchanan Centre - 15 hours - Monday to Friday - 17:00 till 20:00;

Coatbridge High - 15 hours - Monday to Thursday - 16:00 till 19:00, Friday 15:30 till 18:30;
