Job summary

Entertainer is seeking a 30-hour Supervisor in Newport, Wales to support store management and lead a team in delivering outstanding customer service and store standards.

You will open/close the store, handle till operations, coach colleagues, implement promotions, and help manage stock while maintaining a friendly, energetic store presence.

Weekend cover and flexible hours are required, with a view to develop into broader leadership responsibilities as you grow with the business.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including Sundays on a rota, and run the store in the absence of management.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and till reconciliations.
• Lead by example with exceptional customer service and team motivation.
• Execute in-store promotions and keep staff informed and commercial.
• Participate in stock management, deliveries, merchandising and stock loss minimisation.

Why Us?

When you join us as a Supervisor at The Entertainer, Newport Wales Austin Friars you will be a key member of the store’s management team and a role model for our Sales Assistants. You will be there to support your Store Manager in the day to day running of your store, ensuring the team are focussed and performing to their full potential, andshow your manager what you’re all about when running the store independently to cover days off and holidays.

You will have the opportunity to make a real difference with your colleagues too, playing an important role in coaching and motivating the team to help them achieve the best they can be in both their personal development and helping the store deliver exceptional store standards and customer service.

You will be energetic, outgoing, keen and possess a natural flair for retailing. Ideally you will live within 30-45 minutes of your store and be flexible to work the shift patterns that the store operation requires, especially during October to December. Weekend key-holder cover is also a basic requirement of this role.

As a 30hour Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Opening and closing the store, including Sundays on a rota basis andrunning the store successfully in the absence of the Store management
• Ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations and routines including cash and till areas, dealing with customer refunds and till reconciliations
• Lead by example, demonstrating an exceptional customer service experience, inspiring your team to do the same
• Implement in-store promotions, be commercial and ensure staff are motivated and well informed
• Actively participate in stock management including stockroom standards, managing deliveries, merchandising and minimising stock loss
