Job summary

The Entertainer is recruiting a 30-hour Supervisor for the Exeter Guildhall Shopping Centre store. You will support the Store Manager, lead a small team and ensure the store runs smoothly, delivering excellent customer service and strong merchandising standards.

You will be energetic, flexible with hours, especially October–December, and comfortable with weekend key-holder duties. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing or supervising a small team.
• Flexible approach to working hours and commitment to resource the store.
• Confidence using computers/tablets to complete tasks and increase productivity.
• Ability to identify sales opportunities and implement new ideas.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the store, including Sundays on a rota basis and running the store in the absence of management.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including cash/till areas, refunds, till reconciliations.
• Lead by example with exceptional customer service, inspiring the team.
• Implement in-store promotions, stay commercial, motivate and inform staff.
• Participate in stock management, stockroom standards, deliveries, merchandising, stock loss control.

When you join us as a Supervisor at The Entertainer, Guildhall Shopping Centre, Exeter you will be a key member of the store’s management team and a role model for our Sales Assistants. You will be there to support your Store Manager in the day to day running of your store, ensuring the team are focussed and performing to their full potential, andshow your manager what you’re all about when running the store independently to cover days off and holidays.

You will have the opportunity to make a real difference with your colleagues too, playing an important role in coaching and motivating the team to help them achieve the best they can be in both their personal development and helping the store deliver exceptional store standards and customer service.

You will be energetic, outgoing, keen and possess a natural flair for retailing. Ideally you will live within 30-45 minutes of your store and be flexible to work the shift patterns that the store operation requires, especially during October to December. Weekend key-holder cover is also a basic requirement of this role.

As a 30hour Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations and routines including cash and till areas, dealing with customer refunds and till reconciliations
• Lead by example, demonstrating an exceptional customer service experience, inspiring your team to do the same
• Implement in-store promotions, be commercial and ensure staff are motivated and well informed
• Actively participate in stock management including stockroom standards, managing deliveries, merchandising and minimising stock loss
