Job summary

Veolia in London is seeking a vigilant supervisor to manage day-to-day operations, uphold safety, and ensure compliance across sites. You’ll lead a team, coordinate resources, and drive quality and incident reporting to AVA.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence is required.
• Supervisory experience within same/similar role.
• Relationship management skills.
• Time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure targets for Risk & Assurance are met and all incidents are reported on AVA.
• Plan and deliver day-to-day operations: staffing levels, resources and closing out events.
• Carry out site inspections and monitor for VMR and permit compliance.
• Ensure completed work meets quality standards.
• Facilitate visitor and contractor safety, including permits to work.
• Stop the Job and report any safety issues.
• Lead by example and support management to foster a proactive safety culture.
• Monitor team and site to ensure safe operations.
• Ensure teams are trained and monitored to required standards.
• Provide feedback on near-misses to strengthen safety culture.
• People management where required.
• Undertake personal development to enhance knowledge and skills.

What you'll be doing;

• Ensure agreed operational targets are achieved in respect of Risk & Assurance performance, all accidents, incidents and close calls are reported on AVA

• Lead by example and support the wider management team to show, promote and acknowledge positive behaviours and develop a proactive safety culture
• Monitoring team & site to ensure safe operations
• Ensure team are trained and monitored to ensure correct standard of working
• Keep the team engaged by feeding back on close calls and expect respect reports to develop a proactive safety culture
• People management (Where required)
• Undertake personal development to enhance knowledge and skill

What we're looking for;
