Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. is recruiting for a Supervisor at our Glastonbury location. The role involves leading a fast-paced catering operation, maintaining high food standards and allergen controls, and supporting a dedicated team to deliver excellent customer service across a 40-hour week.

You will work 40 hours per week on a 52-week contract, with benefits and ongoing development opportunities within a leading independent contract caterer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working within a fast-paced catering environment.
• Hospitality experience is required.
• All-round team player with organized approach.
• Good verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the hospitality operation.
• Ensure food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
• Ensure all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen procedures are followed.
• Support the team with serving customers, replenishing stocks, making hot drinks, and clearing down (Barista skills essential).

Contract: Full Time , Permanent
Salary: 13.79
Hours: 40 per week

An independent co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 2 to 13 in Glastonbury, Somerset. Catering for around 550 students and teachers daily. We provide a core feeding offer of breakfast, lunch and supper, along with vibrant hospitality provision. This is a 52 week contract and operates 7 days a week, with additional weekend residential activity for boarders. A key benefit to this location is the extensive campus setting and outstanding facilities in the heart of the Somerset countryside.

We are looking for a Supervisor to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Glastonbury.

You will ideally have previous experience of working within a fast-paced catering environment as a hospitality assistant or supervisor.

You will enjoy what you do, working with a great team, for a company fanatical about food serving wonderful customers.

Key responsibilities:

• To oversee the hospitality operation
• Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
• Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
• To support the team with serving customers, replenishing stocks, making hot drinks, clearing down (Barista skills essential).

You will have the following skills:

• Hospitality experience required
• An all-round team player
• Organised with attention to detail
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
