Are you a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker looking to make a real impact in the lives of children and foster families? We are seeking a full-time experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our dedicated fostering team covering the North West of England.
About us:
Family Care are a family-owned social care provider working therapeutically with children for over 30 years. Caring for someone else's child in your own home takes a special kind of person. But no matter what their skills and experience, all our Foster Carers rely on support and guidance from our Supervising Social Workers, Support Workers and Managers.
About the Role:
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting and supervising our foster carers to ensure that children and young people receive the highest standards of care. You will work closely with carers, children, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes and stable placements.
The post will be based from our Chorley (Lancashire) office although some working from home will be permitted with prior approval from the Registered Manager / Practice Manager. Flexible working hours are essential. We require a commitment to some weekend work and unsocial hours to support foster carers, foster carer training, and children and young people. The post-holder will join a rota of social workers who provide the first response on an 'out of hours' basis (supported by a manager on call) and will involve being on duty overnight and at weekends.
So, if you are passionate about improving the lives of looked-after children and want to be part of a team that truly values its staff and carers, we would love to hear from you.
