Job summary

The National Fostering Group is seeking a Supervising Social Worker to join Alpha Plus Fostering. You will supervise and advise foster carers, ensure safeguarding, and work closely with clinical teams to secure the right supports for looked-after children.

This is a regional role across the North West with a 37.5 hour week. With a strong emphasis on high-quality care, you will be registered social worker with a BA/MA in social work and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• BA or MA degree in social work and registration with the appropriate body.
• Full driving licence is required.
• Experience as a social worker with children who have trauma histories.
• Ability to work across the North West region and partner with carers and young people.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and advise foster carers to ensure the well-being of children.
• Visit homes and maintain contact with carers and young people as a safeguarding point of contact.
• Collaborate with specialist clinical teams to identify and access therapeutic supports.
• Support the delivery of high-quality care and outcomes for looked-after children.
