Job summary

National Fostering Group is seeking a Supervising Social Worker to cover Cambridge, Peterborough and north Norfolk. You will supervise and advise foster carers, visit homes, and work with clinical teams to support vulnerable children and young people.

This permanent, full-time position includes a 37.5-hour week, with a 4-day week option after a successful probation period and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BA or MA in social work; registered with the appropriate body.
• Full driving licence required.
• Experience working with children/young people with trauma histories preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and advise foster carers to ensure safe, supportive homes.
• Visit foster carers and children; maintain regular contact and monitoring.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to access therapies and trauma-informed support.
• Ensure safeguarding best practices and maintain high standards across cases.
