Supermarket Assistant, Customer Delivery Driver

About the role
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you will deliver quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors. You will embody our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on deliveries, you will support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient operation in a friendly environment. You must be 18 or older to qualify for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Start your day in-store, checking delivery routes and preparing your van for deliveries.
• Ensure all vehicle safety checks are completed, maintaining safety and compliance.
• Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support shopkeeping tasks as needed.

Essential skills/experience

• Full valid UK manual driving licence (Category B) with no more than 6 points.
• Strong customer service and time management skills.
• Physical ability to lift crates and move cages.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and IT literate.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles.
