As one of our Home Delivery Drivers, you’ll be the special ingredient that delivers everything our online customers shopped at Sainsbury’s for.
Eligibility:
- You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it
- You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview and, if successful, there’ll be a driving assessment when you join us
- You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK
What you’ll be doing:
- Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to our customers' doorsteps, on-time and in great condition
- Completing checks to ensure the van is organized, clean, roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before getting out onto the road to drive safely in various locations and conditions
- Serving our customers brilliantly, supporting with questions and substitutions, and informing them of any delays
- Building great knowledge about our products, services, and promotions to help provide recommendations
- When not out making deliveries, assisting across the store as needed

- Friendly and welcoming, with genuine enthusiasm for helping customers and providing the best doorstep experience
- Proficient in driving large vehicles in different locations, from busy residential streets to narrow country lanes, delivering to various residential properties
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical, and high-energy environment, using initiative to solve problems, often independently but also as part of a team
- Willing to work flexibly and productively across the store when needed, with opportunities to learn and develop new skills
- Comfortable learning to use new digital tools and technology, and capable of moving shopping containers up to 15KG
