Job summary

Guiseley Primary School in Leeds is seeking a reliable caretaker/site supervisor to support daily facilities and maintenance tasks. You will work independently to resolve issues, while collaborating with staff and contractors to keep classrooms, play areas and common spaces safe and welcoming.

Basic IT skills and a good understanding of health and safety are essential, as is the ability to move furniture and handle deliveries safely as part of a busy school environment.

Qualifications

• Caretaking, site management or facilities role experience.
• Practical DIY and repair skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems.
• Experience working effectively as part of a team.
• Confident communication with staff, pupils, parents, contractors and visitors.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to undertake manual handling and move furniture safely.
