Job summary

Kennet Valley Primary School is seeking a dedicated grounds maintenance person to keep the school grounds clean, safe, secure and well maintained. You will play a pivotal role in daily operation, safety and upkeep of the school environment for children and staff.

The role involves basic plumbing, carpentry, DIY work, gardening and painting, with the ability to juggle priorities, learn new skills and work as part of a team. Physical fitness and flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining and securing school grounds.
• Ability to juggle priorities and work within a team.
• Experience in health and safety compliance and managing cleaners.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and secure the school grounds and buildings.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and upkeep, including basic plumbing, carpentry, DIY, gardening, painting.
• Manage a team of cleaners to uphold high standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
