Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Superflex Roadside Mechanic to join the Guildford cluster, covering nearby areas. You’ll work an average of 40 hours per week with a flexible 06:00–02:00 shift window, and your core hours are confirmed days in advance.

You’ll receive a market-leading package with potential to earn up to £61,000, a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, tools and diagnostic kit from day one, plus benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with a full UK driving licence (fewer than 6 points).
• Structured development pathway with ongoing support and accreditation opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Attend roadside calls and diagnose faults to get members back on the road.
• Manage your own toolkit and keep your RAC van stocked for efficient repairs.
• Complete reports with precision and contribute to fast, safe outcomes for members.
