Job summary

RAC is looking for a Superflex Roadside Mechanic to join our team. You’ll be part of a flexible patrol model with a base salary of £50,669, potential to earn up to £57,000, and a London Weighting Allowance where applicable.

The role offers around 40 hours per week, shift patterns from 06:00 to 02:00, and variety across mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You’ll need an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or 2+ years’ experience) or 5+ years in vehicle repair, plus a full UK

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide roadside assistance to RAC members.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on the roadside.
• Manage own kit and van stocks.
• Complete reports with precision.
