Job summary

RAC is hiring a Superflex Patrol Roadside Mechanic in the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and tyres or batteries, and manage your own toolkit in a mobile RAC van. You’ll work varied shifts roughly 40 hours per week, with pay around £55,869–£61,000 including London weighting if applicable.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• You are a problem solver who communicates well and represents RAC positively.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and determine appropriate repairs on roadside vehicles.
• Handle varied tasks from tyre changes to battery fixes.
• Manage your own toolkit and stock in your RAC van; document reports accurately.
• Make quick, correct on-site decisions to keep members moving.
