Job summary

The Ickworth, a Luxury Family Hotels property in Suffolk, is seeking a Breakfast Chef to ensure a delightful morning dining experience. You will prepare and cook breakfast dishes to high standards, using fresh ingredients from the on-site kitchen garden, and you will be mindful of allergens.

This permanent role is 40 hours per week, including weekends, with a salary of £28,210 per year plus a generous service charge and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or similar role in a reputable establishment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
• A friendly and engaging personality, with a passion for hospitality and great service.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Food Hygiene level 2 would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to recipes and specifications, using fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables from our on-site kitchen garden.
• Demonstrate awareness and understanding of allergens.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during breakfast service, working efficiently to minimise waste and optimise food cost.
• Monitor and manage stock levels, placing orders as needed.
• Assist with menu development and contribute creative ideas for enhancing the breakfast offerings.
