Job summary

The Ickworth, part of Luxury Family Hotels, is seeking a Breakfast Chef to help deliver a high-standard morning dining experience at this Suffolk retreat.

This permanent role is 40 hours per week (including weekends), with a salary of £28,210 per annum plus generous service charge and benefits. You will prepare breakfast dishes, manage stock, and support menu development while upholding food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or similar role in a reputable establishment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
• A friendly and engaging personality, with a passion for hospitality and great service.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Food Hygiene level 2 would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to recipes and specifications, using fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables from our on-site kitchen garden.
• Demonstrate awareness and understanding of allergens.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during breakfast service, working efficiently to minimise waste and optimise food cost.
• Monitor and manage stock levels, placing orders as needed.
• Assist with menu development and contribute creative ideas for enhancing the breakfast offerings.
