Job summary

KGM, part of DUAL UK, offers a 10-week internship in specialist motor underwriting in Romford. You’ll gain hands-on exposure alongside experienced underwriters and build analytical, commercial and communication skills during the programme.

You’ll analyse data, support brokers, and learn how underwriting balances risk, service and commercial performance while exploring the different career paths available within underwriting.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year student in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering or Computer Science.
• Enjoys working with data and using evidence to make decisions.
• Confident communicating and building relationships with diverse people.
• Detail-oriented with careful information review.
• Comfortable with numbers and identifying trends and risks.
• Resilient, adaptable and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to learn and contribute ideas as part of a team.
• Full and unrestricted right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support underwriters in reviewing account performance, data analysis and opportunities.
• Attend broker meetings to learn relationship-building across the insurance market.
• Assess new business opportunities, investigate trends and support underwriting decisions.
• Respond to technical queries from brokers and operations teams.
