Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Summer Placement Software Engineer in Newcastle for a 13-week paid placement. You will work on real-world avionics software projects, applying knowledge from your studies and collaborating with experienced engineers.

Ideal candidates have a 2:2 in a relevant field, experience in OO programming (C++) and UML knowledge, and a strong drive to learn and contribute to projects within a multidisciplinary team. The role is onsite with hybrid working options where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum predicted 2:2 in a relevant degree such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, Electronic Engineering.
• Interest in Software Engineering for real-time avionic systems is essential.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and coding is beneficial.
