Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting a Summer Operations Assistant for a busy student accommodation client in Wembley. You will support the Operations team with room inspections, stock replenishment, and preparation for new arrivals during the summer turnaround period.

Responsibilities include quality checks, inventory control, and reporting maintenance issues, while coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance. DBS within 3–6 months is preferred, and the role requires reliability and strong attention

Qualifications

• Clean DBS within the last 3–6 months or willing to obtain one.
• Excellent attention to detail and takes pride in high standards.
• Organised and able to manage workload effectively.
• Can work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Physically capable of carrying out room inspections and handling light stock items.
• Comfortable using checklists and recording information accurately.
• Experience in hospitality or student accommodation is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections of bedrooms and communal areas after housekeeping to ensure standards are met.
• Check room inventory against inventory checklist and replace missing/damaged items; update spreadsheets.
• Record stock intake, monitor inventory levels, and assist with organizing replenishments.
• Identify maintenance issues and report to Maintenance team.
• Prepare rooms for new student arrivals against deadlines.
• Follow health and safety procedures during daily duties.
• Maintain records of room checks, stock movements, and maintenance reports.
• Support wider Operations team with additional tasks during the summer period.

Role: Summer Operations Assistant
Location: Wembley
Contract: Approximately 1 month
Salary: £13.50-£14.00 DOE
Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday- 9:30am – 6:00pm - Can potentially be flexible on hours.
• 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Weekend work requirement on 29th and 30th August and 5th and 6th September 2026.

We are recruiting on behalf of our popular and busy Student Accommodation Client. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Summer Helper to support their Operations team during the busy summer turnaround period. This role is essential in preparing their student accommodation for new arrivals. Ensuring all rooms meet quality standards and are fully equipped for incoming residents. The successful candidate will work closely with the Accommodation, Housekeeping, and Maintenance teams to help deliver a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections of bedrooms and communal areas after the housekeeping team have been in to ensure accommodation meets the required standards.
• Check room inventory against the inventory checklist and replace any missing, damaged, or incorrect items. Following this up by updating spread sheets.
• Record stock intake, monitor inventory levels, and assist with organising and replenishing supplies.
• Identify any maintenance issues such as damaged furniture, faulty fixtures, lighting, plumbing, or general wear and tear, and report them promptly to the Maintenance team.
• Working to agreed deadlines to prepare rooms for new student arrivals.
• Following health and safety procedures while carrying out daily duties.
• Maintain accurate records of completed room checks, stock movements, and maintenance reports.
• Support the wider Operations team with additional tasks as required during the summer period.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a up to date clean DBS within the last 3-6 months or willing to obtain one.
